Have you ever wondered how do model-builders come up with the PGR cars? It’s not an easy job, especially if they are for a next-gen-console-kind-of-game. Everything in a game (concerning what players see) is made up of polygons. Lots and lots of polygons that stick together to give you the impression that you’re actually driving a car and not a set of wires, or that your fighter is human and not a bunch of sticks running around.

Mortal Kombat II hits PS3 next month

Midway’s arcade brawler to be available for download from Sony’s PlayStation with a $4.99 asking price.

Last month, Sony Online Entertainment said it would bring a half-dozen Midway arcade classics to the PlayStation 3, and it appears the first of those will arrive next month. Sony’s Station.com now lists the bloody brawler Mortal Kombat II as a March release, with a $4.99 price attached.

Sony: Control PS3-Connected iPod, Camera via PSP

Connectivity to hopefully roll out in next six months.

When Sony introduced Remote Play into PlayStation 3’s functionality, the initial response to realizing you can watch what’s happening on your PS3 from another room is cool, but the practical applications are pretty limited. You can’t, for example, use the PSP as a remote control for the Blu-ray player. Still, it’s nifty in concept, and apparently Sony will roll out more features, says BBC News (via PSP Fanboy).

Halo 3 Confirmed for Fall, Beta May Be ‘Late Spring’

Might take a little longer for some multiplayer action.

Okay, so everyone knew Halo 3 would arrive this fall, but Bungie’s finally confirmed the third (and seemingly final, at least for this storyline) entry in the Halo series will be available in fall 2007. The news springs from the first of likely many marketing promotions planned for the game.

There’s some sadface.gif to go along with this news, however, as Bungie’s started indicating the beta may be pushed back a bit. Still hitting in the spring, mind you, but now they’re saying it could be "late spring."
