Another Halo Novel on the Way
Eric Nylund taking the reigns for several more stories.
We
might hear more about Halo 3 at X06 late next month — but we might
not. Either way, if Bungie fanatics have already moved through the
graphic novel a hundred times, worry not, as the latest Halo novel,
Halo: Ghosts of Onyx, has been announced November release via
publishing company Tor.
In addition to word on Ghosts of Onyx, the announcement release also
promises an additional two more Halo-related books to be published by
Tor in 2007, which will apparently be accompanied by "exciting news"
that more than likely has something to do with that third Halo game
Bungie seems to be working on.
"Halo has established itself as one of the finest science fiction
universes to emerge from the video game industry," said Tor editor Eric
Raab in the announcement release. "The first three novels merely
scratched the surface. The storyline that the folks at Bungie have
created is phenomenal, and its characters are begging to be explored
further in novels."
Hold onto your butts, you Master Chief wanna-bes.
