The Burning Crusade CE lands players an in-game pet.

The official World of Warcraft website has been updated revealing that World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade would be getting the Collector's Edition treatment -- complete with oversized box loaded some pretty "phat loots."

Not only is the box slick looking, matching the box of the collector's edition for WoW's initial release, but it comes with the following: CD and DVD versions of the game; a behind the scenes DVD with over two hours of developer interviews and commentary on the creation process; a hardcover art book; two starter packs for World of Warcraft: The Trading Card Game and some exclusive cards; an Outlands map mouse pad to save you from hitting the 'M' key all the time; a soundtrack; and what's most important (at least in my mind) -- an exclusive in-game pet, the Netherwhelp, offspring of the nether drake flying mount.

There's no word yet on how much more the collector's edition will run you, but as the original retailed for $79.99, we wouldn't be surprised to see WoW:BC CE MSRP at the same price.
