Codemasters tweaks the title of its Spark-developed alternate-history shooter set in Nazi-occupied America; new screens inside.
Last August, Codemasters announced it was publishing Fall of Liberty, an alternate-history shooter set in a fictional timeline. The first-person shooter will see players defend the American homeland after the Nazis invade in 1952. Like the similarly themed Freedom Fighters, the game will center on gritty urban combat in New York City, albeit from a first-person perspective.

Getting Halo 3 out early will kick off 360 sales for the holiday season
Finally something to chew on. When Microsoft representatives confirmed Halo 3’s launch in fall, with no specific month or day, it was also confirmed indirectly that Bungie’s FPS would be released either in September, October or November (most likely in November). Well, big ass publisher and big ass developer (tight with Microsoft) have told IGN that Microsoft has set the release date for the third installment in the series in September.
Up until now, it was assumed that Halo 3 was probably going to launch in late fall, November. It looks like anxious fans are going to get their long waited FPS 2 months early. Nothing has been confirmed officially though

The real story behind Warhawk
and its not doing so good as a single-player game, but more as a downloadable multiplayer title for the PlayStation 3, is told by development team director Dylan Jobe in an interview with 1UP. He tries to defend as much as he can both Warhawk’s image and SCEA’s, admitting that the team had to juggle with resources in order to make the most out of Warhawk, to keep fans interested. He also admits that Sony positioned the game as a downloadable one, because it presents less risk

Nintendo highlights hardware sales with DS and Wii system sales while Crackdown takes the month’s software crown.
The industry-tracking NPD Group released its February tallies for the US gaming market Thursday evening, and the numbers show significant growth in both hardware and software sales year-over-year.
