World Crime Statistics
According to the Seventh United Nations Survey of Crime Trends and Operations of Criminal Justice 1998-2000 the country with the highest crime rate was Dominica with 113.822 crimes per 1000 people, second was New Zealand (105.881 crimes per 1000 people) and third was Finland (101.526 crimes per 1000 people). The lowest crime rate of all the countries was in Yemen, 1.1609 crimes per 1000 people.
However the report also notes that this statistics are better indicators of prevalence of law enforcement and willingness to report crime, than actual prevalence.(!!!)
Finland is the less corrupted country in the world, and New Zealand comes right after it…
